Mike Sydal joins Dragon Gate Dojo

jae is reporting that Mike Sydal, the younger brother of Matt Sydal (better known as WWE superstar Evan Bourne and former Open The Brave Gate Champion), will be living and training at the Dragon Gate Dojo in Japan. The length of his stay has not been noted, so who knows how long he'll be living there.

Mike's official debut in Dragon Gate will be September 26, where he will be teaming with Shingo Takagi against Jimmy Susumu and Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!!

If mike's HALF as talented as matt,(as his 2009 pwi rookie award indicates)he'll have quite the bright future here in the gate.
How did his debut tagmatch go?

I can't recall if jae had some kind of report or anything.

Mike is going through the rookie leg, wrestling in opening or dark matches and otherwise being part of the ring-crew throughout the rest of the show as part of his training.

In the meantime, Mike has been posting some of his progress on Twitter, which include his making an appearance in a Japanese wrestling publication:
