what was the deal with that rebuilding support special tag? was that related to the new stables or anything like that? It's the anniversary of last year's tsunami. The match was the draw as part of a fund-raising effort toward rebuilding affected areas.

He deserves a Brave Gate shot since he beat the number one contender. He can continue the sudden downward spiral in the quality of Ricochet's challengers. I assume the match going 99 minutes and 26 seconds is a typo, but it would be hilarious if that was actually the length.

Apparently there was a correction to the Shenlong/Kzy match. Poor Shenlong. No doubt he's raging not only about his loss, but also the public humiliation that came with the incorrect post.

Rich Swann was injured during his match with YAMATO yesterday. They are concerned that he may have gotten a concussion, so he was removed from today's lineup. jae will update when available. Taking his spot to face Shingo Takagi was Eita Kobayashi, who teamed with Shingo yesterday.

Shenlong intruded on the dark match, and trash talked to the "green boys". They demanded he find a partner. He called out Kzy to team with him. Afterwards, Shenlong joined MAD BLANKEY. His name was changed from 超神龍 to 超悪龍 (スーパーエイロン), the wicked Dragon. I'm going to go with Super Arong for the romanization for now. Hopefully it is right.
Before the proper show started, they announced that that next month in Sambo Hall on the 19th will be the first ever King of Chop tournament. It will be a 16 man tournament to decide who has the strongest chop in Dragon Gate. The winner will receive a 300,000 yen cash prize, plus a special privilege of their choosing. This could be a title shot, or match making rights, for example. The participants are: CIMA, Mochizuki, Fujii, Tozawa, Kong, "Tanizaki", Kagetora, Doi, Yoshino, Takagi, YAMATO, Shisa, Swann, Kotoka, Kobayashi, Super Arong.
Rich Swann was off again today due to his concussion.
Kzy & Arong attacked Ricochet after the opener, in anticipation of Kzys' upcoming Brave Gate shot. Fujii made the save by demolishing Arong & taking his mask off. He blasted him for his actions today. Some arguing back and forth ensued. At this point, Arongs' name was changed once again to 問題悪龍, or Mondai Arong. Mondai means problem, and the new(er) name is to reflect Kimatas' status as the problem child of DG. So he is now the problematic wicked dragon. Looks ilke he will clash in a match with Fujii in the near future.
Takagi briefly celebrated his latest victory. Still, despite both of the winning today, the TakaYAMA team with currently in a bad place. They had no friends, no titles. Despite this, they still believed in themselves. These convictions would manifest next weekend when they take the Twin Gate.
Yoshino was greatly impressed by Tominagas' performance today. He was able to come in at the last minute to replace Swann and he still performed admirably against CIMA & Mochizuki. Doi recalled his great performance in the Doi Darts selected Triangle Gate match last year. They both offered him a spot in the International unit.
Instead, Tominaga called out TakaYAMA. Yoshino was put off by this, and wondered what he meant by it. The International group left. Tomi turned to TakaYAMA and asked them to fight with him. Takagi thanked him for his appeal. However, now was not the right time to give an answer. They asked him to wait a bit. He said he would be patient.
Stalker came out before his big match with Tozawa and talked about his big win yesterday in Gifu. Tozawa called it one of his greatest embarrassments. But today Stalker wouldn't have the 2 old timers to help him. Stalker came back and said even though he didn't have their help, he could probably still manage a 2 count on his own, so the match should have 2 count rules. Tozawa attacked quickly, but was countered into the la Magistral for a 2 count pin!
Tozawa raged and said he never agreed to the 2 count rule change. Yagi agreed that the bell rang without Tozawa agreeing. Stalker was a bit full of himself at this point, and said he could beta him with 3 count rules too. The match was restarted. Super Arong hit Stalker with the yellow box to lead to the win for Tozawa.
The show ended with a Jimmys speech, promising victory in Wakayama.
---
To clarify, Shenlong has joined up with Mad Blankey, as expected, and changed to what jae is calling Mondai Arong.
Speed Muscle offered Tominaga a spot in their group, but he instead appealed to Shingo and YAMATO to join up with them. They told him to wait, which he said he would. If you ask me, that would be such an awesome trio.
And Stalker can no longer use the German as his finisher, although I rarely ever saw him use it as such prior to this feud with Tozawa.

Shenlong joining Mad Blankey is awesome.
Tominaga's lack of interest in World 2 is amusing.
You really would have thought Tozawa would have beat Stalker clean. I guess it sets up a Stalker/Shenlong match though.

It appears jae will be referring Shenlong's new name as Problem Eilong.
First off, here's the card for the MEMORIAL GATE show. Instead of being a PPV, it will be a localized TV special in Wakayama. It will be on this show that the Speed Muscle led international group will reveal their name.

Another name update for Kimata. His new new name has been shortened from 問題悪龍 to 問題龍. This would probably be romanized to Mondailong. This change seemingly came about against his will. The official news releases since his turn listed the new(er) name instead of the longer one. He was quite peeved about it, but decided to just go with it. He hypothesized that the company was nervous about the evil dragon connotation that the other name held. It could very well change back. I still prefer Problem Ailong/Eilong for the English name since it fits the old Super Shenlong convention for reading his name. Hopefully we can get a definitive name soon.
While on the topic of names, let's talk about Takuya Tomakomai. He is, of course, impersonating Naoki Tanizaki while the real one is out with his shoulder injury. Something I didn't notice until recently about how is name is listed is a slight difference in spelling. The real Naokis' name is 谷嵜なおき. Tomakomai is spelling it 谷崎なおき. The "zaki" portion is different. Going forward, what I am going to do to note the difference in English is refer to Tomakomai as Naoki Tanisaki instead of Tanizaki. It's not exactly perfect, but it should clear up some confusion.

There was an opening MC to kick off the show. CIMA talked about the importance of this show, and how it was being broadcast on Wakayama TV. He said they would ensure a great performance, because you couldn't have a quiet crowd for such an important event. He promised the Veterans would capture the Triangle Gate. MAD BLANKEY & The Jimmys came out for a full confrontation. They argued for a bit. Mondai Ryu yelled at Fujii & Gamma, and said they would retire after losing tonight. MB left. CIMA told the Jimmys to not be so jimi tonight, and bring their flashiest performances.
After pulling the shocking upset on Shisa, Tominaga once again called out TakaYAMA. He said this win proved he was ready, and he was hoping they had an answer for him. They agreed that his win was kind of a big deal, but they didn't have an answer for him tonight. However, he was welcome to second them in their match. Tommy was a bit upset at not getting an answer, but was suitably stoked about being able to second them.
The DoiYoshi unit announced their name before their match. It is: WORLD-1 International. The name is a combination of their prior unit, and their new concept & members. Doi was pleased with he name, since PAC is British, Swann & Rico are American, and Yoshino is from Thailand. Yoshino yelled at him and assured everyone he was Japanese, then quickly changed the subject and demanded the match start.
The Jimmys closed out the show. They celebrated their title defenses, praised Wakayama for being host to what should be a new annual big match tradition, and generally played up the Jimmy Boom that is going on in DG.
