[UNITED MULTIVERSE] Even with the extra pre-show fun I had returning to philly(girls/weather/cheesesteaks/etc)there was a sad surprise: having my fun cannon confiscated.(how is that even possible for something so common for parades and safer that virtually any kids' toy?) Color team of Reywoldt/Scott/Hannifan maintained balanced professionalism as expected.(As token of appreciation I gave them show flyer gifts) Breakout star hendry & yuyemura have some team potential.(but do the fans BELIEVE in them??) Was very cool seeing romero with his first singles belt in "muchos anos". Of everyone in 7 scramble bushi deserved win more than anyone.(also in LIJ he never got to earn jr tournament or title push) Swann gave me ((double hug)) so thanks for that! Second strong champ guilia radiated magnetic presence and "strong" versatility while shaw is ready to earn star status any time now. Just 5 Guys' douki was VERY brave(or suicidal)accepting sami's extreme offer.(still having a career afterwards makes him more deserving of being in ANY faction) Fujita's showing rookie nominee potential while new TMDK member eagles will reinforce group's value considerably.(since bullet club-to-chaos in 2019) Second BC leader finley reinvented himself almost as much as ospreay to the level of earning his first most improved/hated nominations.("I don't give a damn whether you're wearing club gear in new japan, new zealand or AEW. If you didn't get my permission you're just a cosplayer") After roughly two years it was great seeing loa & tonga together again. Regarding lio rush: I find it humorously baffling that he began year repping IWGP(losing three title bouts),tried winning a MLW belt AFTER stealing it,and now assumes low-blowing takahashi will get him another shot?!(would serve him right to lost X belt to kushida right after losing again to timebomb) TIGER HITORI!(nuff said) Lastly, while I commend shelley as impact champion I stand by the overall facts that steve maclin's pre-title development was too consistent and smartly executed to end so easily. Grade B
