Hours earlier in Osaka, Japan, Ricochet was victorious in winning the annual King of Gate tournament. The tournament, in the past, generally determines to confirm the strongest competitor in Dragon Gate over the past year. Ricochet becomes the first gaijin to ever win the tournament.
He defeated Jimmy Susumu in the semi-finals with the Swan Dive Shooting Star Press before defeating Shingo Takagi in the finals with the Modified La Magistral. As a result of the victory, Ricochet earned a shot at Open The Dream Gate held by CIMA, which will be cashed in as part of the CHAMPION GATE tour next month on June 16.

W-O-W! The VERY first winner gaijin?? Well i'll be a son-of-a-dragongate. Thought pac or someone else would've beat him to that distinction. This should double his chances of becoming second evolve champion.
