Allow me to toss in my opinion on a recent controversy.
I don't agree with the attack on ROH recently. Yes, the iPPV was a disaster. I ordered it to watch live, and had my brother over to. He had come over for Showdown in the Sun Night One also. So it was two screw ups against it. Yes, it was upsetting to not see it live. Yes, it stunk to have the main event result ruined before viewing it.
But, ROH put on one helluva show. Of all the iPPV's I've ordered, it's the best, easily.
And it's important to remember that nobody is perfect. Yes, it's a huge mistake, but there's no way in hell ROH wanted that to happen. Should they have been better prepared? Yes. But mistakes do happen.
I think that ROH has handled it very well. Offering the next event free (an event I would have paid for even after this debacle) is a huge positive reaction. Offering a full refund to those who don't wish this is also good.
They screwed up and they are making up for it. I don't think the Facebook commentary was necessary on this one. It comes across as very immature, and totally unnecessary.
Of course, everybody is entitlted to state their opinion. But that opinion came across as more anger at a former employer than actual statement. Kinda rubs me the wrong way.
When ROH sold me a front row seat that wasn't there when I got there for Richmond tonight, then set up chairs so that my seat was facing the third row of Section D instead of the ring, then said they would come back to discuss it and never did, then proceeded to put on the cheapest possible show they could which wouldn't have been worth the money even if they gave me the seat they charged me for...yeah, I totally agree. ROH under Sinclair could give two craps less about their fans. They will give us the cheapest show they can and cut corners at every opportunity they can, and they think we are stupid enough to keep coming back. You guys can have ROH. I'm done. At least for awhile.
