[Mike Rotch/Booker,8-10-15] "Hey Guys!" It's been a while, huh? I started a blog with every intention of updating it as much as possible this year, but life kinda got in the way--and i failed miserably. I apologize for that. From here on out i vow to update more frequently-especially with our 10 year Anniversary event:"CandyApples & RazorBlades" going down on Halloween. I've had more that a few people ask me why we haven't scheduled an event for august-to celebrate closer to ICW's ACTUAL "birthdate". Well,to be completely straight up-the hierloom arts theatre is hotter than a motherfucker in the summer, and we learned our lesson the first time(and last)time we tried to run an event there during those months. We also had every intention of running a few vans warped tour dates, but they decided(literally a week before our first date for warped 15)that they wanted to take a year off from prowrestling. We completely understand and hope to be back next year. When ISW was in its formative stages,i had a list of things i wanted to do. One of them was to run a show in a barn. Yup. A fucking barn. While our first american event-in hartford CT-technically took place in a n outdoor pavilion-the bathrooms had troughs(like horses eat out of)to piss in. To me,that was close enough to my barn show goal. Another thing on that list-i wanted to run a show on halloween. Well, with halloween falling on a saturday this year-and the hierloom having a the slot open-we decided to jump on that date to celebrate our 10th birthday. Bring your friends, wear a costume & celebrate 10years of Inter Species just over 2months tardy. As many of you know,i crossed a few more things off my "pro wrestling bucket list" over the weekend,as i was able to both work for CZW(the promotion that got me into the US indies) and call an event in a building that i hold very dear-the former ECW ARENA. Had a great time, met a bunch of great people and reconnected with others i hadn't seen in forever. Overall,it was a great experience-and while i haven't watched the ippv yet-i feel like i didi a good job on commentary with DAN COWHEY. A huge thank you goes out to DJ HYDE and the WSU/CZW crews. I hope we can do it again. However, the weekend wasn't without it's share of problems. The hotel we stayed in on friday had hard beds,a vending machine that ate my money and a pool that was closed for renovations. And the biggest problem ever-I brought way too much merchandise to philadelphia. A huge thank you to anyone who bought a shirt-but seriously-I have 43 ISW shirts-as well as a limited amount of ISW dvds and a fitted hat-occupying space in my living room, and I want them all gone. I have 21 of our "look out below" design and 22 of our "ten years" design. Sizes S-3XL. As of right now,we're having a "let's get rid of some of this stuff" sale!
