Hello everyone !
I post the subject in order to ask questions about DGUSA & Evolve DVD and you can express your opinion here.
I don't know if it's the good place, sorry if it's not.
A question for the DGUSA-EVolve staff: Do you plane to change the video format in widescreen in a near future or is it for the moment too expensive to invest in new camera ?
I think that you really have one of the best picture quality in all the indy DVD market today (with CZW).
Could you put back the "previously in DGUSA" quick video that we find in the bonus of the first DVD produced ? It was perfect in order to enjoy the show even if we could'nt buy the other, or at least some really quick japan video recap, i'm lost with all the change in japan, and don't always get time to read all the results on the site. What do you think ?

I agree that video quality is great, but lacking widescreen becomes a bigger deal every year. I would hope that DGUSA and Evolve plan for this change to occur in the future.
Also I agree that the previously on feature was great, but I must say, the recap of Johnny Gargano's career on the Untouchable 2011 DVD was better then any of those. I'd like to see more recaps done in that style, because like you I get confused sometimes and always appreciate a video that brings it all together.

Widescreen format cameras are now considered a standard, but it all falls back on budget. In all honesty, most tv shows now are originally shot in widescreen, and then cropped to a 4x3 format to accommodate non hd channels.. I learned this 10 years ago in film school! So if anything it probably is a budget thing to afford so many newer cameras... They aren't cheap, trust me..

I'd actually like better picture quality on the DVDs. It's decent, but could be better. The widescreen thing doesn't really bother me, but they might as well switch to that format since pretty much everyone has widescreens these days (do they even make non-widescreens anymore?).

All TVs now are 16x9 (widescreen) HDTVs... they make nothing less.

Yeah the full screen format is outdated and really noticeable now that all my TV's are HDTV's. Unfortunately I can't see the company getting new cameras anytime soon.

While I would love for them to be widescreen it really doesn't bother me since so much wrestling out there is 4x3 still. I mean, really, until they start putting things out on Blu-Ray I don't see a point in changing.
