Love DGUSA/Evolve, but something has been missing to me since Mox has been gone. Ever since He & kendrick raised hell in philly I was hooked. Great leader for Kamakazi Usa. And He knew how to treat a lady ( ok, just joking). And after enjoying his promo's & hardcore match's the past few years he came off as very modest in his last evolve match when Sami tried to salute him. Just a huge loss to the promotion.
So, is there anybody on the indy scene who can come in here and turn dgusa/evolve upset down like Mox did?

Good question but I'm not sure. That guy was a gem on the microphone. The minute he cut a promo in FCW William Regal couldn't stop smiling it was really funny.
Sami Callihan is the closest we have, but while I do think he is better then Moxley in the ring, I don't think he has the same authentic charisma that Moxley had. Plus he's just not as clever with his words.
Kevin Steen is great with that Moxley sort of thing but at that same time he's very different.

He does it because he..well, as I hate to say he just wants to watch the world burn. With Moxley its more methodical and calculating. he's doing it to achieve something, a bigger goal.

In terms of promo cutting, Moxley was certainly a gem and a very hard one to replace. I would imagine Gabe is keeping his eyes and ears open to find someone with the mic skills that had the same level of mystique. If nothing else, I'd try to procure the services of Rock Riddle to manage someone. He's brilliant at cutting promos and would be able to get the guys he'd represent over.

Moxley is THE reason why i buy my firt DGUSA dvd (Mercury Rising 2010 for Moxley VS my ECW favorite Tommy Dreamer).
Nobody today is as good as he is, that's the reason why he was signed so quickly in WWE, he is so talented that nobody can hide him.
BUT, honestly after the last year that Sami Callihan give us in CZW (AWESOME feud with Adam Cole), DGUSA (D.U.F.) and Evolve (sabu) and with his recent promo i really think that he will explode in a different way but with the same impact, Callihan have a unique connection with the crowd which is rare and it's something that you don't learn, you get it or not.
An underated wrestler on mic and in ring is Robert The Ego Anthony, not in the same league as Moxely but can be awesome.
And NOBODY know how to Move in a ring like Moxley, wrestling seem natural for him.

I thought Moxley was great on the mic but never saw the appeal of him as a wrestler... this thread alone shows how much love there is for him and I just don't see it. I also was shocked WWE had any interest in him. Everyone likes different things though so I just chalk it up to "not for me" and respect those that did enjoy him.

Yeah I thought Moxley was incredible on the mic. Gabe said he signed him without ever seeing him wrestle, and the only other guy he's done that with is CM Punk.
In the ring, Moxley was good not great. His match with Danielson (Ronin) and Jacobs (Bushido) were both great. Sometimes he failed a bit on me though. I think Sami is notably better in the ring. But yeah, not as good a promo man.

I still wish Callihan and Moxley had some sort of interaction together in DGUSA before Moxley left for the WWE. I love both guys but they each have their own strengths with Moxley being the better guy on the mic while callihan was the better wrestler. Given how much Moxley has improved in the ring since he got signed I would love to see how he would do in the indies if he ever comes back (which better not happen)

Admittedly, i have not seen them outside of DGUSA and EVOLVE, but my favorite Callihan and Moxley matches were the ones against Doi. That and the Callihan/Finlay one.

It's hard to find wrestler's to replace wrestlers. Moxley can't be replaced. There will be wrestler's that have something that other wrestler's don't have, each wrestler has something different.
