Naoki Tanizaki appeared after the opener. He addressed Tanisaki. He thanked him for keeping the name alive while he was out injured, but it was time for him to return to Tomahawk. Trying to keep things friendly, he extended his hand to him. Tanisaki kicked it away. Tanisaki said Kagetora must have not delivered the message from Korakuen. The real Naoki was him. He wasn't sure when this fake Naoki was coming back to the ring, but when he did the true Naoki would chop him back out of it.

As expected, with PAC graduating from DG, WORLD-1 International has been forced to vacate the Triangle Gate. Further, Rich Swann & Ricochet will be home from Japan for the month of August. Therefore, W1i will not field a team for the league. The overall winner will be crowned the 36th Triangle Gate champion team. WORLD-1 will be the first challengers.
The tag league will follow A/B Block style round-robin rules. All matches will have a 30 minute time limit. 2 points for a win, 0 for a loss. Time limit draws will award 1 point to each team. The top team in each block will go on to the finals on 8/19. As mentioned above, the winning team becomes the 36th Open the Triangle Gate champion team.
CIMA was quick to announce the next CIMA Royale. The Open the Twin Gate match between TakaYAMA & DoiYoshi on 8/2 has also become the 6th match in the series. The winner of the fall will earn the title shot straight away, no singles match with their partner afterwards. The title shot is currently penciled in for Ota-ku on 9/23.
The Owarai Gate will also finally be settled after a long period of uncertainty. It was stolen from Rich Swann by Naoki Tanizaki back at FINAL GATE. Tanizaki finally remembered to mail it back to the office. So, there will be a decision match on 8/2 between AraKen & Stalker.

So I guess Tanizaki's theft of Owarai Gate caused Swann to essentially lose his place as champ.

Open the Twin Gate & CIMA Royale 6: YAMATO{W}, Shingo Takagi (21:17 Gallaria) Naruki Doi, Masato Yoshino{L} *-akatsuki- succeed in their 1st Defense
The Osaka Trio celebrated their opening win, but were cut off by Mondai Ryu. He had the usual things to say that no one wanted to hear. He said he was done with CIMA, and changing his target to Gamma. His main issue was that three local trash wrestlers like the Osaka group all had theme music while he still doesn't. It was decided that at the next Korakuen on the 22nd, Mondai Ryu will face Gamma in a lumberjack match, with Gammas' SHOUT AT THE BRAIN theme up for grabs. There will also be a strap or whip of some sort involved.
Shenlong earned the right to team with Takagi & YAMATO in the tag league with his win.
Windows came out after the Kagetora vs, DK match. They had a guest with them, Masamune from Osaka Pro Wrestling. AraKen announced that he would be the next challenger to the Brave Gate. AraKen revealed the connection between himself & Masamune dates back to his initial training days in Mexico. He was an important friend and would act as an assistant to Windows. Kagetora said that was all well and good but the next challenger should probably be the guy who just pinned the champion. Kzy came out of nowhere to announce his own candidacy to the title. He challenged DK to a dance off for it. In the end, it was decided that a 3 way would take place to determine the next challenger. Kagetora vs. Kzy vs. Masamune. DK decided that wasn't good enough. He was adding himself to the match, making it a 4 way. If he wins, no one gets a title match! It will take place on 8/22.
The first confrontation between the Naokis was heated. They traded familiar holds, and the MB version had his back tattoo wiped clean. Still, the MB version insisted that his win today proved he was the genuine article. Tozawa also gloated over the win but was met with a John Woo from Candy. They set up a 2 out of 3 falls All Out War 8 man tag for 8/22. The Jimmys side will be Saito, Horiguchi, Naoki, & Kanda. The MB side will be Tozawa, Hulk, Naoki, and, since Kzy & Mondai Ryu are busy, Cyber Kong.
By scoring the pin in the main event, YAMATO earned the next shot at CIMA. The match was going to take place at the big event in Ota-ku on 9/23, but that was too far away for YAMATO. Instead, he said it would occur at the next Korakuen, 20 days from now. He also said that it has been three years since the last time he generation attempted to take over. Since CIMA is once again champion, that take over failed. This was the last chance, and he would not lose. CIMA said he would be waiting. YAMATO closed out the show. He admitted that CIMA was an incredible performer, but DG wasn't resigned to whatever future CIMA had in store for it. He asked the fans to come to Korakuen on 8/22 to see that in person.

Tanisaki said that this win once again proved he was the real Naoki. He added that with his string of losses since coming back, Tanizaki wasn't even worthy of using the name as an impostor.
CIMA & YAMATO essentially traded the same words they used in Korakuen. The Osaka Trio closed out the show.

Inclement weather prevented Masaaki Mochizuki from getting to Kyoto in time for the show. CIMA did a double header, taking his spot in match four. After the show he said he would make sure Mocchy was in Kobe the night before their next stop in Kyoto. But, he enjoyed the city so much he might perform three times that night anyway.
Salty Dog & MasaIsaChuui finish win less. They will face off in Kumamoto on the 17th to determine the worst team.

Time to start wrapping up the Summer Adventure League.
8/17/2012 Kumamoto, Kumamoto City Distribution & Information Hall - 720 Attendance 1. Masaaki Mochizuki{W}, Dragon Kid (0:06 Jumping High Kick) Shingo Takagi, Hollywood Stalker Ichikawa{L} 1b. Summer Adventure Tag League 2012 Last Place Decision Match: Ryo "Jimmy" Saito, Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!!{W}, Naoki Tanizaki (16:31 Backslide from Heaven) Mondai Ryu{L}, Kzy, Cyber Kong
Kotoka performed as CIBA for his team with CIMA. If you remember, he had to shorten his ringname to Kotoka from his full name as a requirement for his membership into WORLD-1. The reason? His surname, Shiiba, was too similar sounding to CIMA. They asked him to drop it to avoid confusion. He wore a CIMA style costume, and stole his "I'm CIMA" catchphrase. He didn't inherit any of his powers though, and was beaten in the usual fashion.
With the main event loss, Team Salty Dog are officially the worst team in the league this year.

Summer Adventure Tag League 2012 Finals: Akira Tozawa, BxB Hulk, Naoki Tanisaki{W} (23:21 Night Ride) CIMA{L}, Gamma, Magnitude Kishiwada *Blankey Yellow become the 36th Open the Triangle Gate champion team
Tanisaki mocked CIMA after beating him. He called out anyone to challenge MB for their newly won titles. Mochizuki put him in his place, calling him a small fish. But, he conceded that in wrestling even bit players get to main event some time. The Veteran Army wanted a rematch, with the ever energetic Don Fujii joining up with CIMA & Mocchy. Tanisaki accepted, but Mocchy basically told him it was time for the grown ups to finish out the show, so he should leave. CIMA closed things out with his usual speech, promising to return to Fukuoka in October as champion, and again at FINAL GATE.
No word on WORLD-1 International. They were supposed to get the first Triangle Gate shot, but perhaps they are having trouble locating a third member for their team.

The young up-and-comer pins the champ. That's big news.
